Built in the 1750s as a traditional Cumbrian farmhouse, The House has been carefully restored while retaining the character and atmosphere of its long history. Sleeping up to eight, it is a generous and comfortable place for families and friends to gather.
An 18th century farmhouse in the Newlands Valley
THE HOUSE
A historic place to stay
At the heart of Low High Snab is the original farmhouse, built in the 1750s and gradually added to over the centuries. After six years of careful restoration, the house has been brought back to life without losing the simplicity and character that make old Cumbrian farmhouses so special.
With four bedrooms and a choice of comfortable living spaces, The House sleeps up to eight. Two wood-burning stoves make it particularly cosy after a day on the fells, while the large kitchen and dining room forms the natural heart of the house.
Outside, there is half an acre of garden with a terrace and outdoor seating, surrounded by the Newlands fells.
